Dc800 Camera Reviews - FAQ and Questions
- I just bought a scuba SeaLife DC800 underwater digital camera, but don't know what kind of memory card to use?
Is there a certain brand that works better? Any other info would be greatly appreciated since this is my first underwater camera. Thanks.
A Read your manual, it will tell you. First of all the format must be right, secondly there could be a limit as to size - not all cameras can handle really big cards. I doubt the brand would matter. The speed would only matter if you can (and will) take lots of photos in burst (continuous shooting) mode.

- How to mount camera to telescope?
Hello, I have a Sealife DC800 and an unidentified Questar reflex telescope.I would like to be able to mount the camera to the telescope to use in a presentation, but I can't figure out how. It turns out that my family doesn't want me to take this telescope on the trip I am taking. What affordable, short length, telescope, with tracking, and possibly the ability to connect a camera to show on a computer, would you recommend? What affordable, short length, telescope, with tracking, and possibly the ability to connect a camera to show on a computer, would you recommend? For below $200
A That type of camera (point n' shoot and underwater) may not usable. If you can disable the flash, you can try using a clamp like this. Plus the shutter speed needs to able run slower then 1 second and ISO setting between 200 to 400 - http://www.telescope.com/control/astrophotography/astrophotography-accessories/orion-steadypix-deluxe-camera-mount Questar telescopes, are great, but you do need to have tracking for them to work best - http://www.questar-corp.com/QuestarPDF/PhotographywithaQuesC71.pdf For cameras, you would be better off with a DSLR with a removable lens. Preferably Canon's XSi and above. Canon actually makes its cameras usable by third party software folks who make some very good control software for the camera - http://www.stark-labs.com/ However - learning astrophotography has a steep learning curve. Briefly, you need to have a excellent mount, one that doesn't vibrate when touched and it needs to have excellent tracking (hold an object in view while the exposer is going on. The telescope and finally the camera come last. http://www.astro.shoregalaxy.com/dslr_astro.htm
